I am an Assistant Professor at SRM University-AP with appointments in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering in School of Engineering & Sciences. Prior to my stint at SRM University-AP, I was working as an Assistant Professor in Data Science @ Woxsen University (2024-2025), and Assistant Professor in Data Science @ VIIT, Pune(2021-2023).
I received my PhD in Computer Science from Artificial Intelligence Lab, SCIS @ University of Hyderabad, INDIA and M.Sc. Computer Science from Department of Computer Science @ Pondicherry University, INDIA.
My research sits at the confluence of Social Media Analytics (SMA), Natural Language Processing (NLP), Healthcare AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and Agentic AI frameworks, addressing challenges that span across data-driven social intelligence, medical innovation, and autonomous decision-making systems.
My specific research interests include:
- Social Media Data Analytics: Focused on real-time event detection, aspect-based opinion mining, and multimodal sentiment analysis using advanced NLP and graph-based techniques to better understand emerging trends and public discourse on platforms like X (earlier Twitter).
- Natural Language Processing & LLMs: Exploring the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) frameworks for dynamic information retrieval, contextual understanding, and knowledge grounding across open-domain and specialized applications.
- Healthcare AI: Designing deep learning models for predictive modeling and medical image analysis, with recent work on CNN-LSTM architectures for pulmonary fibrosis prognosis and multimodal tumor segmentation.
- Agentic AI for Aviation: Developing autonomous, agentic AI systems for intelligent decision-making in aviation, including applications in predictive maintenance, flight operations, and mission planning.
- Responsible and Inclusive AI: Designing AI systems that are transparent, fair, and ethically aligned to real-world challenges; ensuring safety, accountability, and inclusivity in deployment across sectors.
A core part of my research vision is to build responsible, ethical, and inclusive AI systems that are transparent, fair, and adaptable to real-world challenges, ensuring their safe deployment across sectors such as healthcare, social media, and aviation etc.
